Monterey County Website Grant
1. Sponsor
The Monterey County Website Grant (the “Program”) is offered by Tandem Edge Solutions (“TES”), contact nawara@tesolutions.tech, (831) 318-0626. No purchase is necessary to apply.
2. Eligibility
The business must be located and operating in Monterey County, California, and the applicant must live in Monterey County.
The business must have fewer than 5 employees (including the owner).
The applicant must be at least 18 years old and an owner of the business.
TES employees, contractors, and their immediate families are not eligible.
3. How to apply
Submit one application per business through the online form. Applications must be complete and truthful. Incomplete or ineligible applications may be disqualified.
4. Selection criteria
TES selects at most one business per month based on: (a) how much a website would change the business, (b) community impact in Monterey County, (c) readiness to provide content (photos, text, logo) in time, and (d) fit with TES’s capacity that month.
Selection is at TES’s sole discretion and is not a game of chance.
5. Timeline
Applications close at 11:59 pm Pacific on the 10th of each month. The selected business is notified by email and announced on or around the 15th of the same month.
Applicants not selected automatically roll over to the next month’s pool for up to 3 months, unless they ask to be removed.
TES reserves the right not to select any business in a given month.
6. What the award includes
Design and build of a website of up to 5 pages, mobile-friendly, with a contact form and basic search setup, plus one round of revisions and a launch walkthrough.
The award has no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged. Extra features (online store, booking systems, custom apps, ongoing edits) are outside the award and may be quoted separately.
7. Ongoing costs paid by the winner
Domain name: typically $12–$25 per year, paid directly to the registrar.
Hosting: typically $0–$25 per month depending on the plan chosen.
TES will explain these costs before work starts. The winner owns the domain and their content.
8. Winner responsibilities
The winner agrees to supply content and feedback within the agreed schedule (normally 4–6 weeks). If the winner cannot participate, TES may select another applicant.
9. Publicity
By accepting the award, the winner agrees that TES may feature the business name, logo, website, before-and-after images, and a short testimonial in its marketing, without additional payment. The winner may opt out of specific materials in writing.
10. Privacy
Application information is used only to run the Program and contact applicants. TES does not sell applicant information.
11. General
TES may modify, pause, or end the Program at any time. Void where prohibited.
